Parent Partnership and Workshops

Throughout the year, we work with parents to enhance our childrens opportunities. This means we aim to actively promote the following through a series of parent workshops and other events this academic year:

Include all groups of parents in supporting their children's learning and developing their own learning.

Take steps to ensure that the school is a welcoming, communicative and friendly place for parents.

Provide clear and accessible guidance to help parents support their children's learning and development.

Provide clear guidance on the responsibilities of parents, school and pupils, and share this information with parents as a key part of the induction process.

Home–school links

Produce parent-friendly policies to establish effective home–school links.

Support parents as their children transition through or between schools.

Leading Parent Partnership Award

During the 2016/2017 academic year, Grovelands school will be working towards the 'Leading Parent Partnership Award'. This award is a great way of being able to build closer links with our parents and the wider community to support the progress of our children within the school. Please do look on our website, in our newsletters or speak to a member of the school office if you would like further information about this.

Below, you will find the workshop slides, presentations, resources and feedback forms should you like to make a comment on how we are doing in the promotion of our school and parent partnership.
